ON TODAY'S BREAKING DAWN RUMOR MILL....
"Summit Entertainment looks forward to bringing Breaking Dawn to the big screen but at this point any additional information is premature."
I say, if you know anything about the actors involved in this series, the official start and release date for Breaking Dawn could take a long time before it's released to us. There are ALOT of actors in this movie, aside from the fact that the main three are extremely busy starting right about now. I have yet to find anything on Summit's actual website, or official proof that this statement is from today. Keep in mind, they said the exact same thing when we thought Boo Boo Stewart gave it all away by saying he was going to be around for the fifth movie.
We're all just going to have to wait a little longer!!!

As we said yesterday, Rob and Kristen sent us a message via the Twitter page for Summit Entertainment...
Today, Taylor joined in on the fun! He tweets...
"Thanks for your incredible support of New Moon. Your passion for The Twilight Saga is the sole reason we're #1 across the world!"
And there you have it! Now we have heard from all three of them....Okay, time to announce Breaking Dawn...!!!! Which reminds me...
Yesterday I was bumming around on the Internet Movie Database (IMDB), looking at the cast from New Moon, and it dawned on me that the reason we probably haven't heard anything about Breaking Dawn, is because of the obscene number of other projects all these actors have. Michael Sheen (aka Aro), for instance, is working on several other movies all the way up past 2012. I bet they are having a really hard time trying to schedule everyone...

ECLIPSE TO BE RATED R?
Quotes taken from a recent interview with SiTv!
"Star Robert Pattinson has been reportedly suggesting that the film might actually push towards an R rating, as opposed to the PG-13 of New Moon.
We don’t actually believe that’s going to be the case, though, as Summit Entertainment will have a firm eye on the potential box office returns for the film, and if it puts a PG-13-rated cut of the film out in cinemas, then that’s simply going to make more money. Considering, too, the large number of teenage girls who have been flocking to the movies over the past weekend, it’s going to be keen not to cut off one of its core audience segments.
However, dig into what Pattinson actually said, and it’s clear it was just speculation on his work. He was talking to SiTV when he made his comments, saying that “I don’t know what rating Twilight was in England, like the American PG-13 or 18. I think it’s pushing it to the absolute limit. It would be so funny if it was R-rated.”
He did also note, though, that “It’s a massively different movie to New Moon. There’s so many more main parts, and having these huge battle sequences, I’ve never done anything like it in any of the other movies.”
Remember, June 30th, 2010! I already put in for my vacation days! ;-)

FX WINS RIGHTS TO AIR TWILIGHT SAGA FILMS ON TV
FX channel has struck a deal with Summit, which says the channel will have the cable rights to New Moon, Eclipse, and likely Breaking Dawn. Showtime already has the cable rights to Twilight (until 2011). From the article:
Deal between FX and Summit is standard in that pricetag will be 10%-12% of the domestic box office take, but with a cap.
Summit’s deal with FX also includes rights to well-reviewed Iraq war pic “The Hurt Locker,” as well as “Knowing” and “Push.”
“Twilight,” the first book of the series from Stephenie Meyer that was adapted into a film, earned $191 million when it was released a year ago. FX can begin airing the pic in late 2011.
The window for “New Moon” starts in late 2012, and “Eclipse,” which is scheduled for a June 30, 2010, theatrical release, will have its basic cable debut in 2013.

'New Moon': Five Things You Might Have Missed..
If his lousy parking job distracted you, perhaps you didn't notice that when Edward pulled into Forks High, his famed Volvo was no longer gray, as it was in the novels and the first movie. Hey, Chris Weitz, what gives? "I've taken a real spanking for this, a lot of heat," the director explained. "I'll tell you exactly why: Volvo wanted to give us a new, different car so I didn't want to paint it exactly the same silver color, because then [Twilighters] would be saying, 'Why are they trying to say that it's the same car; it's obviously not.' So, I thought, 'Well, I'll choose a new color!' And I thought I would choose slate black, not a reflective black, because it actually absorbs light and it would reflect the mood and melancholy and depression [of his character]. I know I got it wrong, I apologize for that. But that is my reasoning."
A Newly Visible Victoria
In Stephenie Meyer's "New Moon" novel, the vengeful nomad Victoria is more of a long-distance threat than a regularly glimpsed monster. So, why is it that the movie has her lurking in the woods, swimming in the water and even killing a character? "Well, movies are such a visual medium," explained screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who also created a scene with Victoria driving that was ultimately cut after being filmed. "To just be talking about Victoria, or to be hearing about her, isn't visceral enough. You have to actually see her and see the threat that she is; I wanted to keep her alive throughout, so that you knew that the danger to Bella was alive. I also had so much fun writing for her — there are a couple of action moments in the middle of the movie that are really fun, and I really wanted to have her in there. It also keeps the pacing of the movie, to see her and to have those conflicts."
Grandma Is a Bloodsucker
As die-hard Twi-hards know, Chris Weitz's grandmother was an actress in one of the first "Dracula" films and is still going strong at age 99; his mother acted for two decades and was nominated for an Oscar in 1960. Since the movie opens with Bella seeing her own grandmother, why didn't Weitz offer one of his own family members the chance to act again? "How kind," he said at the thought. "But I think it would have been difficult for me to say, 'Mom, we would like you to play a woman who is so old that she horrifies Bella when she recognizes herself in the mirror' — I think [my Mom] has put movies behind her for good. And now, she just raises me and my brother."
How Did Taylor Do It?
If Taylor Lautner wanted to keep his job, he needed to get very muscular, very fast. Now that you've seen him with his shirt off you might be wondering: How can my boyfriend get that bod in less than a year? "Jacob transforms a lot in 'New Moon,' not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well. So, it was a matter of getting to the gym and eating the right foods," he explained. "I was in the gym about five days a week, because it's important to get your recovery time and not overwork yourself — I was trying to put on weight and If I was in the gym too much, I'd be burning the calories I was trying to take in. The other thing — the most important thing — was the eating side. Everybody thinks it was the actual getting in the gym — that was easy; I was motivated. Getting in the gym was easy for me, but the eating was pretty hard."
The Final Line
As you now know, "New Moon" ends with a very special proposal. But since it was different in Stephenie Meyer's novels, who decided to move it? "My thought was initially to save that for the next movie, because that movie's all about the triangle and Edward's proposal to Bella and her debate about whether to do it or not," Rosenberg explained, giving the credit to Weitz. "Chris realized — and I think rightly so — that belonged here. And it was a great way to go out of the movie."
Eclipse Could Be R Rated...
Eclipse is third movie in the Twilight Saga, which is expected to be released next summer, which will see Pattinson once again return to the role as vampire Edward Cullen.
In an interview with STV the actor said: "It’s a massively different movie to New Moon. There’s so many more main parts, and having these huge battle sequences, I’ve never done anything like it in any of the other movies.
"I think it’s really pushing the - I don’t know what rating Twilight was in England, like the American PG-13 or 18 - I think it’s pushing it to the absolute limit.
"It would be so funny if it was R-rated."
Filming for the movie took place over the summer and wrapped only a few weeks ago. Because director Chris Weitz was in the editing room working on New Moon David Slade is behind the camera.
'New Moon' Stars Reveal Their Favorite 'Eclipse' Scenes
Fans haven't gotten enough of "New Moon" just yet, but they're also already hungry for tidbits on the next "Twilight Saga" flick "Eclipse," which opens next June. And the cast is eager to oblige by telling us about their favorite scenes from the third installment.
While Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are most focused on the film's intensifying love triangle, their co-stars can't wait for fans to see them get down and dirty.
" 'Eclipse' is my favorite book, so I'm actually really excited for people to see that one," Peter Facinelli, who plays Carlisle Cullen, told MTV News. "The Cullens get to roll up their sleeves and really get into the mix of things. They're usually so restrained all the time, and I think people love the ['Twilight'] baseball scene because you got to see them actually do what they can do as vampires, and in 'Eclipse' it's that to the 10th power. You get to see them be what they can be as vampires."
Fellow Cullen Ashley Greene is also keen on displaying Alice Cullen's skills. "I'm really excited to see my fight sequence," she said. "There's some playful moments between Jasper and Alice that I'd like to see. They take parts of your character and put it into your fight sequence, so mine's kind of a Cirque du Soleil-ish sequence, so I want to see it."
Kellan Lutz looks forward to seeing the results of his hard work preparing to send Emmet into battle. "We went through the six weeks of fight training ... and they trained us so well that we just dominated our choreography moves," he shared. "And they're going to look really cool."
But while everyone seems excited to duke it out, Nikki Reed is most looking forward to sharing Rosalie's tragic backstory. "Well Jackson and I, we both had the opportunity to shoot our backstory, so I shot an entire sequence in the 1930s," she explained. "And it's intercut between a really amazing scene and moment that I have with Bella. And Jackson sort of did the same. I think the fans will like that. I think they want to see the Cullens' history. It gives me the opportunity to explain myself."

New Moon Eclipses Dark Knight!
New Moon smashed The Dark Knight's single-day and opening-day box-office records with an estimated $72.7 million Friday, its studio reported today.
If the movie's unprecedented midnight business was "absolutely freakish," then its unprecedented full-day take was simply phenomenal.
"It doubled the opening day of the first movie—and Twilight was no slouch itself," Box Office Mojo's Brandon Gray said. "It's just sensational."
With New Moon having already eclipsed its $50 million budget, two of Dark Knight's showiest records, and Twilight's entire opening-weekend gross, about the only question left is: How big can this thing get?
In two words, really big. Although maybe not record big.
Gray guessed New Moon will end up with a $140 million Friday-Sunday, which would leave it shy of Dark Knight's ultimate speed record: the 2008 film's $158.4 million opening weekend. (It would also leave it shy of the No. 2 film, Spider-Man 3, which debuted with $151.1 million in 2007.)
At this point, though, it's dangerous to guess what New Moon might, or might not, do next.
Earlier in the week, the wolf-enhanced vampire sequel was expected to score a big $80 million opening weekend. Then a bigger $100 million looked more like it. By yesterday, after setting its $26.3 million midnight mark, Exhibitor Relations was calling for a gigantic $125 million-$130 million.
Until further notice, Twi-hards—and the cinematic object of their desire—will not be underestimated.
Here's a by-the-numbers look at what New Moon has done so far:
• $36 million: The Twilight opening-day figure it blew past.
• $62.2 million: The single- and opening-day Dark Knight grosses it eclipsed.
• $69.6 million: The Twilight opening weekend it's already exceeded.
• $104 million: What Friday's Top 10 films, led by you-know-what, grossed in a single day—yet another record, per Box Office Mojo.
MOVE OVER DARK KNIGHT, HELLO NEW MOON!
The Dark Knight took in 68.7 million dollars on it's opening day,
New Moon did 72.7 million. Meaning that Friday, November 20th, it made 72.7 million dollars. An additional 26.3 million dollars was raked in from midnight screenings alone!
What this means, is as of Friday night at 11:59pm, The Twilight Saga: New Moon has made 99 MILLION DOLLARS. That is NOT including Saturday, OR Sunday.
I don't know about you guys, but the movie is sold out all the way up until Monday here!
Most importantly, The Dark Knight holds the world record for Record Opening Weekend total, which is 158.4 million dollars... We're already at 99 million without Saturday or Sunday. I think we have a DARN good chance at passing it up!
Then, maybe, just MAYBE Summit will green light breaking dawn. Come on! :)
