8 Things We Learned Today on The Oprah Show...
Oprah Winfrey’s sit-down with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner finally aired today. Here, a few of the things we learned:
• Human nature says if a Twilight star shows up at your front door, you can hug him without asking; if you meet her in public, you must ask. By far the best segment of the hour was Pattinson going door-to-door to invite Twihards to the Oprah taping. (Watch the video here.) Even though he was jetlagged, he was an amazing sport. He had to knock for a while at the first house because the teens were in the basement. They saw him, screamed, and immediately all plowed into him. They had no idea what to say to him. Then, he went to the door of a birthday girl. “Oh god, they’ve got a dog,” he said as he heard it barking from outside. Reactions here: the teen was stunned into near composure, her mother, not so much. “Ohmygod, he is so hot! He’s so hot!,” she shouted with her arm around him. Finally, he went to the home of a Twifamily. The dad answered the door with an “Oh my god!” But again, the mother was the most vocal, telling him “You’re beautiful.” He posed for a family photo and as he left, said, “That was nice. I kind of wanted to stay there and have dinner.” Lautner’s outing was to a sorority house that’s so obsessed with Twilight that they have a “Twilight room.” Watching the footage (catch it here), Oprah admitted she was concerned about sending Taylor in there — they might’ve ripped his shirt off. Thank god they were sober. There was screaming, and automatic hugging, but again, it seemed as though they really didn’t have much to say to him. At least from what we saw. Stewart’s superfan was a 15-year-old from the Caribbean who loves Bella because she doesn’t change herself to fit in. (Except for becoming a vampire!) She got to meet Stewart onstage, and asked if she could hug her. They posed for a photo, and Stewart gave her a ring she wears in the film.
• Twimom parties involve alcohol. I don’t know why this surprised me, but I approve of the cocktails and wine. (Also the chocolate-dripped strawberries — white for Edward, dark for Jacob.) Oprah sent Ali Wentworth to meet four moms who are so obsessed with Twilight their young children stay stuff like, “She watches only the Edward scenes” and “You love Edward more than me.” Twilight is a way to revisit the passion of first love without cheating on your husband, they said. It also gives you something to talk to your friends about… as you walk on a fake red carpet in your basement and pose with a cutout of Pattinson.
• Pattinson, Lautner, and Stewart have no friends. Or, at least none who want to see them on a Saturday night. Oprah asked what they’d be doing that night of the week if she were to look in their windows (call police?). Pattinson said he’d be desperately calling everyone he’s ever met because no one thinks to call him. Lautner said he’d be bored because he doesn’t have American Idol or Celebrity Apprentice to watch, and no one calls him either. Stewart said she’s petting the cat with whom she has a codependent relationship.
• If Rob could have been on either People‘s Most Beautiful list or the Time 100 countdown of the world’s most influential people — and only one of them — he would have gone with People. “Definitely beautiful,” he said, laughing. But his reasoning was surprisingly sound: “I have no reason to influence people.” He noted that three years ago, he couldn’t influence his dog to walk. “I was above Obama,” he said in disbelief.
• Rob learned his American accent by watching American films and rapping. (He wanted to be a rapper when he was 14; Oprah was sad she had not known this sooner or we would have heard a recording.) Difficult words for Brits to pull off in “American”: water, pasta, and nachos.
• Kristen is still shy and awkward, so Oprah hugged her at one point. But the girl is smart. When Oprah asked what scene she and Robert read for the Twilight audition, she purposely avoided saying the bedroom kiss. But Oprah had done her research, so they still had to talk about it. They also had to address whether they were dating. You already know that he answered, “Kristen’s pregnant,” when Oprah asked, and Kristen joked that he’s going to have the baby. The reason: She has too small a frame. That, by the way, wasn’t Oprah’s touchiest question. She put 18-year-old Lautner on the spot when she asked him if he’s really never had a drink or a cigarette. He said he hasn’t. Was he supposed to say yes, Oprah?
• Taylor doesn’t think he’s funny. Which is why his ideal woman is funny, loyal, honest, and can let loose and be herself.
• People have stopped asking Taylor to howl. He’s not sure where he said that it annoyed him, but he thanks you for listening.
Bonus fact from Dakota Fanning: Her 12-year-old sister is making a robot at school named Rob-ot Pattinson.

Salary Dispute Holding Up "Twilight 5" Announcement?
From The Hollywood Reporter:
EXCLUSIVE: Summit Entertainment is working furiously to close the talent deals required to split Stephenie Meyer's fourth "Twilight" novel into two films. But an unlikely roadblock is holding up an announcement -- and could even lead to cast changes for the series' final installment.
The studio is close to finalizing agreements with leads Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, all of whom will get big raises to return for a fifth installment of the vampire romance saga. And director Bill Condon is already signed to film two "Breaking Dawn" movies, which would be shot back-to-back starting in the fall and released in November 2011 and summer 2012, respectively.
But Summit is having a harder time locking in some of the franchise's secondary characters. Deals for Peter Facinelli (who plays Carlisle Cullen) and Billy Burke (Bella's father, Charlie Swan) are done, but we're told the actors who play the Cullen kids (especially Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene) are trying to sink their teeth into bigger paydays that, at least at this point, the studio behind the billion-dollar franchise is unwilling to provide. "We may have a situation where one of them is thrown out on the street to make a point," says a source close to the dealmaking.
So are we headed for a recasting on the final "Twilight"?
There is precedent for such a tactic. After the success of the first film, Summit axed Rachelle Lefevre, who played Victoria, in part because her reps played hardball on money. (Bryce Dallas Howard got the job instead.) Now, two films into the series, even the minor Twilighters (Lutz in particular) have become sought-after stars, so it makes sense they'd want to be paid more for the final film. But we're told that the offers from Summit -- which are said to be at least 10 times what the actors made on the first movie -- were deemed "offensive" given the mega-money the franchise has generated.
Summit declined to comment on the situation. But the studio wants to move quickly to pull the trigger on two movies -- and it isn't afraid to recast if deals can't be reached. Plus, it has even more reason to be concerned about costs this time around. As is typical with blockbuster franchises, the "Twilight" movies are becoming more expensive with each installment. And the leads are going to do especially well if "Breaking Dawn" is split into two parts. The trio were initially signed for three films (remember, this was back when "Twilight" was a low-budget adaptation of a niche YA novel), but in the spring of 2009 -- after the first movie became an international hit -- they renegotiated all their deals so Summit could lock them for a fourth movie.
The studio then realized that "Breaking Dawn," with its 900-plus pages and narratives told from two perspectives, was dense enough to be split into two installments (as Warner Bros. announced it would do for the final "Harry Potter" book). Just one problem: The cast wasn't signed for a fifth movie. They're all huge stars now, with Lautner in particular running up his quote to the $7.5 million range, so another renegotiation commenced.
That meant ponying up big-time for the leads, which will make the final movie far more expensive than the others ("Eclipse," which hits theaters June 30, is costing around $65 million, a figure sure to be dwarfed by the fourth and fifth, even if costs can be amortized by shooting them at the same time). For that reason, Summit is still holding out the option of simply doing one "Breaking Dawn," although multiple sources say they'd be shocked if the fifth film doesn't happen. "This thing is gonna be two movies," one source says. "With or without the cast intact." Meyer has already signed off on the plan to make two, a key hurdle, given the approval rights she has in her deal.
Summit also is eyeing other cost-cutting measures for the final installments. A deal is currently being negotiated to move the production to Louisiana after making the first in Portland and the second two in Vancouver and Italy. Luring "Twilight" would be a huge "get" for the state -- and, given the tax credits, a money-saver for the studio.
"Twilight" has thus far been the rare tentpole franchise made on a non-tentpole budget. It'll be interesting to see the lengths that will Summit go to keep it there. Booting an actor from the final installment of a successful series could be a risky move, though we're betting that as long as their precious Bella, Edward and Jacob return, fans would get over any disappointment.

Memorable Quotes from Eclipse...Chapter 16
Eclipse - Chapter 16
Stupid, thieving, annoying vampire!
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.347
I can’t imagine how awful that must feel. Being normal? Ugh.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.347
You don’t have anything like this. For crying out loud, you only own one skirt!
Alice Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.348
Well, everyone can relax. Nobody’s trying to exterminate the Cullens after all.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.349
If someone wants one of us, they’re going to have to go through the rest of us to get to her.
Alice Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.350
And now Edward rode in the backseat of my father’s police car, behind the fiberglass divider, with an amused expression — probably due to my father’s amused expression, and the grin that widened every time Charlie stole a glance at Edward in his rearview mirror. Which almost certainly meant that Charlie was imagining things that would get him in trouble with me if he said them out loud.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.351
Please don’t get all weepy on me.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.352
They stood out from the rest of the crowd, their beauty and grace otherworldly. I wondered how I’d ever fallen for their human farce. A couple of angels, standing there with wings intact, would be less conspicuous.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.354
Okay, so telling Edward had been a really bad idea. Alice was right to keep her thoughts clouded. I should have waited till we were alone somewhere, maybe with the rest of his family. And nothing breakable close by — like windows… cars… school buildings.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.358
No matter what side I’m on, if someone kisses you without your permission, you should be able to make your feelings clear without hurting yourself.
Charlie Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.362
The right thing isn’t always real obvious. Sometimes the right thing for one person is the wrong thing for someone else. So… good luck figuring that out.

Robert Pattinson Visits a Twilight Fan's House for The Oprah Show...
Maria(the lucky fan) says: Well....it all started with an email to the Oprah show. I just told her that the entire family were huge fans and if you came over and you were NOT a twilight fan then "YOUR NOT COMING". Where? We didn’t know. We just said your not coming to anything with us unless you were a fan. They apparently loved that line. So Sunday night they called and said that the show was totally booked but there might be a slight chance that we can pre tape something with skype. Now...she said a very slim chance. They were calling thousands of people. She asked me to send pics of my family. So in order to get their attention I thought I would be a great idea to take pictures as the “Cullen Family”. I waited all day on Monday to hear from them to see if we would be doing the skype thingy. Just when I started to give up it was around 10:30pm and they called. THE TWILIGHT PICTURES DID THE TRICK. They were so amazed on how my son Giuseppe looked so much like Edward. They told me to expect a skype kit to pre-tape a very short segment around 8pm on Tuesday night. They told me a hundred times “Sorry the show is full & we couldn’t give you tickets. So on Tuesday the skype kit came and I waited all day again for directions on how it was going to work. They called at 5pm and said we were going to do a practice run with skype and we would be live with oprah on the show in the morning. They told us do not dress up wear comfortable cloth because you will be moving furniture and it was just a test run. She actually told us to wear our pjs. At 8pm they called us on the skype cam to set everything up. We wasted about on hour just setting up the room. They kept telling me make sure all the blinds are close the camera is sensitive to light. (which now I know it’s because they didn’t want us to see him pull up.) They were asking random questions really just filling in time until I saw a camera crew through the small window on my front door and the people on skype heard me and said “go open the door” Well….that was it we all lost it. Screaming like a bunch of maniacs. Rosanna was crying, Giuseppe was frozen and everyone else was jumping a screaming. He stayed for about 10 minutes. Even though it felt like a week. And we just were all amazed that he was in our house. I told him me and Rosanna stalked him in NYC for the Remember Me premiere and he said “yeah I think I remember you” which was an obvious joke. I asked him is Kristen was here too and he said “well fine…I’ll just leave then”. Other things were said but I was in so much shock I cant remember. It is so weired. His lips were moving and I know he was talking but all I heard was wah wah wah. (kind of like snoopy and Charlie Brown). Then he told us we had tickets to the show. Again lots of screaming. He was great. So nice. Funny. And sooo tall. You was beautiful. I still cant believe it. So we went to the show and they had our names on our seats so we felt to privileged. Robert, Taylor, Kristen, & Dakota all sat and talked to oprah and then they showed the footage of him knocking on doors. He went to 3 homes in Naperville. We were the last ones. When he was leaving my house he said to the camera “I really want to stay and hang out at this house.” It was amazing. We all got a certificate to order Bella’s engagement ring from eclispe. The audience got to see the movie while he made his visit to our house. It is something we will never forget. Oprah & Robert was great but hearing my kids say “thanks for making this happen”……absolutely priceless!!!

'Eclipse' Stars On 'Oprah': Two Lucky Audience Members Take Us Inside The Special Taping...
From Hollywood Crush:
A couple weeks back, Oprah announced on her website that she was looking for the "ultimate 'Twilight' fans" to be a part of her top-secret May 13 show (airing on that day specifically because it's RPattz's birthday!), which would cover the release of the newest film, "Eclipse." We already found out that the lucky few who were selected got a chance to be a very early look at the entire film, and today got the attend the show's taping with special guests Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning.
Now, since we're Hollywood Crush and obviously didn't want to miss a beat, we knew we would be remiss if we didn't do our best to track down some of the lucky attendees and get some inside info on the show a week before it airs.
Click on after the jump to see what MTV's Hollywood Crush investigative reporting turned up.
It's already been announced all over Twitter that Oprah asked Rob and Kristen the Big Question: whether or not they are an item. Niekema Hudson, who Tweeted the majority of the events last night and today, told us in a phone interview that despite Oprah's yes-or-no question, Rob and Kristen still managed to avoid answering it.
"[Oprah] asked the question directly, like, 'So, everybody wants to know!' but they really did avoid the question," 31-year-old Niekema said. "They both kind of looked like, 'Uhh, are we supposed to answer this?' and then Rob joked that Kristen was pregnant, and she joked that, 'If I'm pregnant, then Rob's going to have the baby.'"
Niekema had seen that Oprah had been looking for hard core "Twilight" fans on the "Twilight" Facebook page, and sent in an essay detailing the extent of her love of the series. She found out last Monday that she had been selected as an audience member, and brought her cousin, who originally got her into the series, as her plus one.
"I was so excited about being able to go to the show, I completely read over the fact that we would be seeing the movie the night before," she said with a laugh.
Attendees were encouraged to wear "Twilight" shirts and dark clothes, and bring along Team Edward and Team Jacob signs. Niekema estimated that about 150 fans attended the screening and taping. She said they ranged in age from 14 to 40, and were mostly all women with the exception of one unhappy husband.
Nicole Salera, 19, sent in an essay that included photos showing how "Twilight" is in her life, and brought her friend along once she found out she had been accepted as an audience member. Seeing all the "Twilight" stars — and the movie — brought her to tears, she said.
"I felt Kristen's personality shine throughout the interview. She explained how she is shy and just as nervous as we are, which is cool of her to say," Nicole said in an e-mail interview. "Taylor Lautner, my husband who doesn't know it yet, looked hotter than ever and I couldn't stop staring at him. He explained how he likes dorky girls, yes! We will be perfect together. He also loves beef patties."
Conversation ranged from upcoming projects to the stars not having any friends to hang out with on Saturday nights to Kristen's cat — though, surprisingly given today's news, "Breaking Dawn" wasn't brought up even once — but the crème de la crème for both Nicole and Niekema was the chance to see RPattz in person.
"Robert, oh Robert. His accent is to die for, listen to him say 'nachos.' It's the greatest," Nicole said.
Niekema was lucky enough to be standing near the aisle where the stars walked out, and said, "That gave us the opportunity to basically reach out and see if they would shake our hands and Rob and Taylor did, so that made the experience even that much more amazing because I am such an Edward Cullen fan." Does it matter that Rob isn't actually Edward Cullen, but only the guy who plays him? Absolutely not, she said.
That was as close as any of the fans got to the stars. No autographs were signed — with the exception of one special young girl who came from the Caribbean and wrote about how Kristen Stewart and Bella are her role models (during a break, KStew gave her the ring she always wears, which we think is adorable) — and though fans were supposed to get a chance to ask questions to the stars, but that didn't end up happening. So Nicole resorted to the only option she had left.
"We waited for the cars to leave [after the show] and my face was basically smacked against Rob Pattinson's car and it was perfect," she wrote. "Best day of my life!"
Oprah always gives her guests a special gift at the end of each taping, and today's was especially topical: everyone in the audience got a voucher for the official Bella's Engagement Ring from Infinite Jewelry Co. Neither Nicole nor Niekema knew which of the three versions they got, but Nicole did say one lucky lady got the $1999 Genuine Engagement Ring, made with 13 diamonds that add up to 1.06 carats.
