ROBERT Pattinson and Kristen Stewart caused a casualty with their romance — their Twilight costar Nikki Reed, a report claims.
According to Fox News, Rob and Nikki dated shortly after they finished filming the first Twilight flick and she was left devastated when the hunky British actor dumped her and hooked up with Kristen.
“Rob and Kristen are funny because they’re so super secretive, even with their closest friends in the cast, they’re very cryptic,” a source said. “They are together for sure because it really caused waves between Rob/Kristen and Nikki Reed.
“After the first Twilight wrapped, when Rob and Nikki were together and no one was a megastar yet, you could still see the sparks between Kristen and Rob even though they were each in their respective relationships… they always had this really intense, magnetic chemistry. So Nikki was the one to get hurt.”
“Nikki was really in love with Rob, but we’re all scared to bring it up now,” the insider added. “It’s something we just don’t talk about.
“Everyone is relieved she’s with Paris [Latsis, Paris Hilton’s former fiancé] because he is an amazing boyfriend to her.
“She’s happy and she’s really found someone that she can lean on through all the media hype surrounding the series.”
In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Stewart, 19, said she would’ve answered questions about her rumored romance with Pattinson, 23, if fans didn’t make such a big deal about it.
“I probably would’ve answered [the romance question] if people hadn’t made such a big deal about it,” she said. “But I’m not going to give the fiending an answer.
“There’s no answer that’s not going to tip you one way or the other. Think about every hypothetical situation: ‘Okay, we are. We aren’t. I’m a lesbian.’
“I’m just trying to keep something. If people started asking me if I was dating Taylor Lautner, I’d be like ‘F— off!’ I would answer the exact same way .
