Kristen Stewart cooked for the 'Twilight' Cast...
Apparently, when Kristen Stewart isn't making movies, visiting talk shows or dodging paparazzi, the actress is quite the foodie and budding chef.
"I cooked dinner for 20 people; I was really proud of myself," the 20-year-old told MTV News at the red carpet for a special screening of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" in New York on Monday night.
"I get really embarrassed when people ask me what I cook, for some reason," she added. "I shouldn't say that I cook anymore. There was like a big BBQ situation and, like, a bunch of steaks and veggies, and I made chicken piccata. I'm so embarrassed right now. But I made homemade marinara sauce starting at, like, 2 in the afternoon. It wasn't done until 8. It was incredible. The 'Twilight' cast showed up."
But even though Taylor Lautner is a fan of Stewart's cooking, he didn't get an invitation to the big feast. Maybe it was a vampires-only meal?
"I have sampled her food," he said, when he heard about the dinner party. "I was not at the feast, Kristen. But I have tried her food."
Lautner may have missed out on her marinara sauce, but he did get to sample a more unusual dish Stewart whipped up. "Like, OK, you know kumquats? There's apparently a fruit called loquats. Yeah, I didn't know either. And she made a loquat pie."

'Eclipse' MTV EXCLUSIVE New Still: Xavier Samuel Leads The Newborn Army

In what was perhaps once of the best moments in the second "Eclipse" trailer, we saw Victoria's (Bryce Dallas Howard) newborn army ominously follow her right-hand man, Riley (Xavier Samuel), into a body of water and then suddenly emerge on the other side with the stern look of vengeance in their eyes.
If you've been thinking about that scene ever since you watched the trailer on Friday (and no doubt on a continuous loop over the weekend), then get ready to be chilled all over again! In honor of Summer Movie Preview Week here on MTV News, we're bringing you an EXCLUSIVE new still from "Eclipse"!
While we're sad Bree Tanner (Jodelle Ferland) doesn't seem to be in the picture, it still got our hearts pumping as we realized this had be the scene when Victoria sends her newborn army to Forks in preparation for the final confrontation. If we looked that good soaked in muddy lake water, we'd probably use that as our mode of transportation, too!

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' Soundtrack: Who Will Make The Cut?
Adam Lambert, Muse, Paramore and more discuss whether or not they will have their tunes included in the next installment of Stephenie Meyer's franchise.

When it comes to the "Twilight Saga," the soundtracks are almost as anticipated as the films themselves. And with the "Eclipse" soundtrack set for release on June 8, many fans are wondering which artists made the cut.
Adam Lambert had hoped that his song "Suburban Decay" could find a home on the soundtrack. He told MTV News that it could be the perfect tune to further elaborate the love story between Bella and Jacob. "It's a great song and I hope to perform it someday, and I think it will find a home on a soundtrack or something ... maybe 'Twilight,' " he said. "It just didn't quite fit [in my album]. It's very theatrical. ... It's very campy, and it was just a bit too campy for the album as a big picture."
Like Lambert, Brooklyn, New York, band Care Bears on Fire would love to get their song on the soundtrack. "Oh my God! It would sound awesome," bandmate Izzy said. "[It would sound] vampire-y, duh — or werewolf-y, depending. I'd kind of like to be vampire. I feel like that's more our sound."
And while these artists are hoping they'll have their shot, Muse have already hinted that after appearances on the first twol films' soundtracks, they may take up space on the third installment as well. "It's great to have the feeling of being a new band again in so many people's eyes or minds ... we might even do something for the third one," drummer Dominic Howard said.
"['Eclipse' director David Slade is] kind of a friend of ours 'cause he directed about three or four of our videos for the second album, and he's a really great video director," Howard further explained. "I know he did that really great kind of sick horror [film '30 Days of Night'] which was a bit of a vampire/zombie vibe, wasn't it? So I think he's a great director, and he's quite a funny character as well. So, yeah, we might do something for him as well."
Paramore appeared on the first soundtrack and passed up the chance to be on the second, but they wouldn't rule out taking a stab at writing a song for "Eclipse." "We'll see what happens in the future," frontwoman Hayley Williams said. "I don't know — if it feels genuine. If we write a song, and I feel like it goes with it, I wouldn't turn it down, but I wouldn't force it."

Kristen Stewart Says Bella's Not As 'Tortured' In 'Eclipse'
KStew says Bella's growth made third 'Twilight' film easier than 'New Moon.'

Kristen Stewart reveals in Entertainment Weekly's summer movie preview issue, that made the character much easier to play. "I wasn't as tortured as I was on 'New Moon.' Bella really knows what she wants in 'Eclipse.' She's not just a dumb kid talking because she's in love."
That's not to suggest that playing a more-focused Bella was a breeze. Though the teen matures over the course of the story, graduating from high school and getting engaged to Robert Pattinson's Edward, at one point she is pulled back into the romantic embrace of Taylor Lautner's werewolf Jacob. That scene was difficult, both because Stewart sees Lautner as something of a younger brother and because she understands that Bella truly loves Edward.
"It felt really weird kissing someone else as Bella. I was like, 'What the hell are you doing?' " she said. "It was a really strange experience — as it should have been."
And then there's an experience that fans have been looking forward to for years — one not strange at all but rather a long time coming: Edward and Bella's engagement. Producer Wyck Godfrey said the scene will more than fulfill expectations. "She walks into Edward's room, and there's a beautiful four-poster bed, and it's like, 'Wow, here we go!' "

Robert Pattinson's Kurt Cobain Casting And Other RPattz Rumors...
From a 'Pirates' role to his reported pregnancy (!), the 'Twilight' star has been at the center of a few tall tales.

Rob's Nirvana?: The Sun is a British tabloid that seems to specialize in stories about how Megan Fox is going to play Catwoman. Their latest "scoop," however, was a real doozy — Rob was in regular contact with Courtney Love and had landed the role of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain in a biopic. The rumor got a bit of traction, particularly because of RPattz's well-documented love of music, but ultimately the Sun story was dismissed by Love's reps, leaving the tabloid to offer all apologies.
Rob Is Preggers: It would be one thing to suggest that whomever RPattz is supposed to be dating this week is pregnant. But an Australian tabloid once reported that a little Rob was on the way and — get this — he was the one who was going to give birth to it! Perhaps the editors have been watching too many bad early '90s Arnold Schwarzenegger comedies lately, but the report was so ridiculous that even Rob himself singled it out as the craziest rumor he had ever heard about himself. We're no doctors, but six months have passed since the "news" broke, and since Rob's not showing yet, we're thinking it's safe to call this one bogus.
Rob Is a Pirate: Yo ho ho and a bottle of bull. That's what rumors of RPattz playing Jack Sparrow's brother in "Pirates of the Caribbean 4" turned out to be, after reports had him battling Zac Efron and Russell Brand (!?) for the role. Somebody needs to make whoever started that rumor walk the plank.
OME! Rob Is Engaged!: Have you sent RPattz an engagement gift yet? Because he got engaged last August. And then again in September, March and apparently Tuesday (April 13) as well. If you haven't sent a gift yet, don't worry: We're sure he'll get engaged two or three more times this week.
Rob Is Dating Everyone: Twilighters would love nothing more than if Rob were actually involved with Kristen Stewart. "Lost" fans would dig it if he ended up with Emilie de Ravin. Somebody out there must want him to date Megan Fox, Nikki Reed, Camilla Belle and Erika Dutra, whoever that is. There was even a rumor out there that he was dating Katy Perry — which would be a good way at getting Russell Brand back for stealing away his "Pirates 4" role. Through it all, Rob has denied dating any of them — so let's give the dude some space, OK, guys?
Rob Is Deaf: After RPattz made some tongue-in-cheek comments about how loud it was whenever he went out in public, some outlets decided to twist his words into an admission that he was actually deaf. Isn't it tragic that his fans have screamed at him so much that he'll have to film the "Breaking Dawn" movies using sign language? MTV News can exclusively confirm that we've interviewed him numerous times, and either his hearing is fine or he's the most amazing lip-reader in the world.
Rob Is Gay: Apparently, when Rob isn't dating every actress in Hollywood, he's busy dating every actor as well. Some outlets recently twisted an interview with one of Rob's friends to make it sound like something far more than friendship. Not that there would be anything wrong with it, but such a rumor seems as bogus as it is sad that someone would write it.
Rob Is Bond: At the "Remember Me" premiere in London, RPattz was asked if he'd like to play James Bond. What British actor wouldn't? Of course, when he said he would, certain sites reported it as fact. Such silliness can only leave his fans shaken and more than a bit stirred.
Rob Is an American Idol: A few months ago, the Web went wild with reports that Simon Cowell had approached Rob with a record deal. As much as some Twilighters would like it to happen, the reports turned out to be bogus (shocking!), so don't be looking for Rob on Cowell's hit show anytime soon.
Rob Stinks: Another RPattz rumor as suspicious as it was sad, last March an "unidentified source" was reported as saying that Rob's co-stars on "New Moon" thought he smelled bad. We've interviewed Rob numerous times and sniffed nothing more than charm and charisma — so, like many other RPattz rumors, it's the report itself that stunk.

'The Runaways' Stars Kristen Stewart And Dakota Fanning Were Very Dedicated To Their Characters...

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning tried to take the meaning of the word to a deeper level in their upcoming flick, "The Runaways."
Both actresses have asserted they spent plenty of time with the women they were portraying in the film to make sure they got the part right. But when MTV had a chance to catch up with the young stars to talk about the movie, they explained how deep that dedication went.
In fact, their research of the role was near journalistic in its detail. There is a scene where both Dakota and Kristen have to sign recording contracts as their characters Joan Jett and Cherie Curie, and in the trailer they sign the contract with their left hands. However, when MTV asked them about it during the interview, they both admitted they were actually right-handed.
"We knew we were going to have a scene where we were going to have to sign something, so you need to ask [the real-life people you're portraying]," Dakota said.
Kristen went so far as to actually mimic Joan's entire style of writing.
"Joan [has a distinctive writing style]; I had a couple other little writing bits [I noticed] because I've seen her write," she said. "It's almost like she's hiding [the pen]."
Kristen added, "[Joan] does write a little weird. And that's why it was so great having her around, not just [for little stuff like that], but for the emotional connection to capture an essence, and they are such vivid people. It was great to have her there."

Robert Pattinson Recalls 'Most Stupid Thing' He Did For 'Remember Me'...

Happy "Remember Me" day, everybody! But before you head to the theater to see Robert Pattinson in his first post-Edward Cullen solo project, be sure to read on for part two of our MTV Radio's interview with him for RPattz's thoughts on the film, the scenes that he found hardest to shoot and the dumbest thing he ever did.
MTV: Your character Tyler has some issues with anger, being tormented and especially his parents. Do you have any kind of new insight into why teenagers rebel like this?
Robert Pattinson: I knew a lot of teens who were troubled, and then you meet their families and you're like, "I don't know what his problem is." The families always seem really nice and supportive, and it's just this unknown. You have this energy, and you don't know where to place it. I think the reason why [Tyler] has a problem with his father and not his mother is that he knows his mother isn't strong enough to take it. If he started attacking her, she'd just break. His father is still a fighter, so he's always going to fight against him.
MTV: The movie seems very realistic in its depiction of NYU students — how much did shooting in New York with real locations help?
Pattinson: I always thought about the apartment. If this is just a typical NYU student's apartment — living in the East Village in this really nice apartment — I always thought that was a bit much. It's like a million-dollar apartment! It did help. Annoyingly, I couldn't spend as much time as I thought I could [researching the role].
MTV: Why not?
Pattinson: Before I went to New York, I thought it'd be really easy; I could hang out there and pick up on a lot of New Yorkers' mannerisms and things. But it ended up being more of a circus than I thought it was going to be.
MTV: Was it harder getting into character with all the craziness surrounding you during the shoot?
Pattinson: Kind of. At the beginning it was. But then, halfway through, I had an epiphany, and then I was fine. It's just a matter of learning how to block things out. At the beginning, it was just driving me insane. Especially with a character that's lost and supposed to be looking for [answers] all the time — and you can't look up, because then all the [paparazzi] shutters accelerate. You can't smile, you can't behave normally. You just have to be more disciplined about it.
MTV: Do you think your "Little Ashes" performance as Salvador Dalí was harmed a bit because people couldn't look at you and not think Edward Cullen?
Pattinson: I think it was. I mean, I shot it before "Twilight," but I think people do judge things differently after the "Twilight"s. But there's nothing you can really do about that. I do take it into account more now than I used to. But during the Dalí thing, when I was doing it, I didn't think anyone was ever going to see it! It's a very different place to be at when you think you're making a movie which no one is ever going to see. I mean, you're not afraid to experiment with things.
MTV: So knowing that you were famous and people would see "Remember Me," do you feel like you were able to give the film your all?
Pattinson: I don't know. I don't really know what my all is. I think I always felt very connected to it, right from the beginning when I read the script.
MTV: A lot of the anger in the film comes from your relationship with your dad, played by Pierce Brosnan. In real life, do you have a good relationship with your father?
Pattinson: My relationship with my dad is the opposite. The part was written as much more controlling, arrogant — and Pierce seems like a nice guy, so he just read the character as not a horrible man; he's not a monster. It completely changes the relationship Tyler has with him. You're looking at a [father] who you know the audience is going to be thinking, "He's all right," which I thought was quite interesting. It's this guy's rebellion against nothing. You're just attacking someone because you know they can be attacked, and he's going to keep standing afterwards. Pierce was great.
MTV: Did you enjoy the fight scenes? Is it very different than acting with words?
Pattinson: Yes, I loved it. It's completely different. I never do stuff like that, so it was quite cathartic.
MTV: Was it daunting doing those scenes with Oscar winner Chris Cooper?
Pattinson: Yeah. I don't know how I'd feel if I had any fighting back to do. I just continually get beaten up by him. [Laughs.] It's hard, especially being strangled. It's difficult to look like what's actually happening. You're doing it [for the camera] as well, so it's like you're being strangled but nothing really happens. You're just standing there, experimenting with myself. I don't really know what the face is like for someone getting strangled.
MTV: Were you hurt in that particular scene? Because it's very convincing.
Pattinson: No, not at all. But I did hurt myself in a scene they cut out, where I flipped out. [In the scene] I walked into a big confrontation and ended up getting completely destroyed by your competitor. I was doing this thing, hitting myself afterwards in a spur-of-the-moment thing, which they cut out of the movie. But I kept hitting myself so hard. I was in so much pain for the rest of the shoot. It was the most stupid thing I've ever done.

MTV: Do you think your "Little Ashes" performance as Salvador Dalí was harmed a bit because people couldn't look at you and not think Edward Cullen?
Pattinson: I think it was. I mean, I shot it before "Twilight," but I think people do judge things differently after the "Twilight"s. But there's nothing you can really do about that. I do take it into account more now than I used to. But during the Dalí thing, when I was doing it, I didn't think anyone was ever going to see it! It's a very different place to be at when you think you're making a movie which no one is ever going to see. I mean, you're not afraid to experiment with things.
MTV: So knowing that you were famous and people would see "Remember Me," do you feel like you were able to give the film your all?
Pattinson: I don't know. I don't really know what my all is. I think I always felt very connected to it, right from the beginning when I read the script.
MTV: A lot of the anger in the film comes from your relationship with your dad, played by Pierce Brosnan. In real life, do you have a good relationship with your father?
Pattinson: My relationship with my dad is the opposite. The part was written as much more controlling, arrogant — and Pierce seems like a nice guy, so he just read the character as not a horrible man; he's not a monster. It completely changes the relationship Tyler has with him. You're looking at a [father] who you know the audience is going to be thinking, "He's all right," which I thought was quite interesting. It's this guy's rebellion against nothing. You're just attacking someone because you know they can be attacked, and he's going to keep standing afterwards. Pierce was great.
MTV: Did you enjoy the fight scenes? Is it very different than acting with words?
Pattinson: Yes, I loved it. It's completely different. I never do stuff like that, so it was quite cathartic.
MTV: Was it daunting doing those scenes with Oscar winner Chris Cooper?
Pattinson: Yeah. I don't know how I'd feel if I had any fighting back to do. I just continually get beaten up by him. [Laughs.] It's hard, especially being strangled. It's difficult to look like what's actually happening. You're doing it [for the camera] as well, so it's like you're being strangled but nothing really happens. You're just standing there, experimenting with myself. I don't really know what the face is like for someone getting strangled.
MTV: Were you hurt in that particular scene? Because it's very convincing.
Pattinson: No, not at all. But I did hurt myself in a scene they cut out, where I flipped out. [In the scene] I walked into a big confrontation and ended up getting completely destroyed by your competitor. I was doing this thing, hitting myself afterwards in a spur-of-the-moment thing, which they cut out of the movie. But I kept hitting myself so hard. I was in so much pain for the rest of the shoot. It was the most stupid thing I've ever done.

'Twilight' Star Kellan Lutz Is Really Scared Of Freddy In 'A Nightmare On Elm Street'...
While Kellan Lutz plays a scary creature in the "Twilight Saga" -- if you call a vegetarian vampire scary, that is -- it's his next role in the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" remake that has him really frightened. You see, it seems Lutz's connection to the flick and its bad guy, Freddy Krueger, runs all the way to his childhood.
"That was one of the movies that actually scared me growing up," Lutz told MTV News about the 1984 remake, due out on April 30. "My brothers were the biggest threat growing up with all the poundings, but Jason and Chucky weren’t too scary. I laughed at them. Clowns are funny to me."
As much as a laugh riot as those creepy horror movie classic killers were to Lutz, there was something incredibly eerie about Freddy for him. So much so that it made sleeping a difficult task for the actor. We already know that Kristen Stewart is a huge champion of Robert Pattinson's endeavors outside of their "Twilight" collaboration. As she told MTV News last month, she caught an advance screening of his romantic drama "Remember Me" and said RPattz is "quite bold" in the film. Then she showed up at the new movie's red-carpet premiere on Monday night (March 1) to lend her support and attend the Plaza Hotel afterparty.
If you were at all worried, though, know that Pattinson has been reciprocating that support and praise for Kristen's new films. "I saw a really early cut of 'The Runaways,' " he told MTV News on Monday. "It was really good. And 'Welcome to the Rileys' is really good too. But I saw both things at really early cuts, so I don't know really what they're like now. But 'Welcome to the Rileys' is amazing.' "

So what does Kellan Lutz think about the idea of releasing "Breaking Dawn" in 3-D, when (or if) it's made? Well, he's not too keen on the idea.

Like Pattinson, Lutz isn't a big fan of movies filmed in multiple dimensions. "3-D kind of hurts my eyes anyways. 'Avatar' was amazing in 3-D and in IMAX, but I don't think I wanna see a little baby half-vampire in 3-D," he said, echoing a similar sentiment made by Stewart. "There's just some scenes I just wouldn't want to see in 3-D."

Kristen Stewart Reminisces About First 'Twilight' Interview...
The star looks back on simpler times — and defends her infamous 'treetop' comment.

This week is a very interesting time in the life of Kristen Stewart. On one hand, she's living the life of a movie star, winning BAFTA Awards, setting up plans to attend the Oscars and talking about her role in one of the year's most eagerly anticipated blockbusters.
On the other, she's waving goodbye to the last remembrance of her relatively anonymous youth — and the movie that, in a way, began her superstardom. It's called "The Yellow Handkerchief," and by now, every good Twilighter knows KStew shot the film as a 16-year-old indie star best known for being "that girl from 'Panic Room.' " But when this reporter caught up with her recently to discuss the romantic drama that finally opens this weekend, I almost felt like I should apologize.
"Hi," Kristen said as I walked into the room and complimented her and co-star Eddie Redmayne on a job well done. "When did you see it? Oh, you saw it at Sundance!"
And with that, we both began reminiscing about a unique circle that began two years ago. Stationed in Park City, Utah, to cover the Sundance Film Festival for MTV News, I caught a densely attended screening of "Handkerchief" — a movie I really enjoyed — then headed over to a small press conference in a tent outdoors.
After Stewart, Redmayne, William Hurt and Maria Bello answered questions from the press, the conference ended and each walked offstage in separate directions and found straggling reporters approaching them for quick chats. Full disclosure: The only reason I was there was to try to get Hurt to talk about "The Incredible Hulk." But since someone else grabbed Hurt first, I instead went over to Stewart, who was standing alone. We had spoken a few times in the past, so she recognized me, and we sat down in a pair of folding chairs in the corner of the tent. After a nice conversation about the movie, I asked the one simple question that every person in my profession ends every interview with: What are you shooting next?
"That was the first time you asked me about 'Twilight'!" Kristen smiled when we caught up last week at the "Handkerchief" junket. "I remember the interview! ... You were like 'So, what's up with this [movie]?' "
Actually, she brought up the film. "The movie is called 'Twilight,' " she said during that January 2008 encounter. "Catherine Hardwicke is directing it in Washington. It's based on a book that's pretty popular [among] young adult, high school kids."
"The main character is, like, superhuman," she said of Edward Cullen. "He's a vampire, but with really [heightened powers]. He can run faster than a car can drive, and he's super strong."
At that point, Stewart added that she would be co-starring with some British actor named Robert Pattinson.
"Was Rob cast? I guess I don't remember," she explained. "That's so weird."
The result was the first time Kristen had ever spoken in public about the "Twilight" films, and when we ran a Movies Blog item a bit later, the MTV News team was shocked by the post's record-setting traffic. That, in turn, gave birth to "Twilight" Tuesdays, the cast's appearances at the MTV Movie Awards, the media picking up on the phenomenon later that year and — well, you know the rest of the story.
Of course, at the time, KStew also got herself in a bit of hot water, saying, "He throws me over his back [in one scene], right before he's going to tell me that he's a vampire, and then he runs over the treetops. And we're going to be in real treetops; we're not just going to CGI it. We actually get to go up there, and that's what I'm stoked on."

MTV EXCLUSIVE: First Look At New 'Twilight Unbound: The Stephenie Meyer Story' Hardcover Edition...

Vampires, werewolves and, of course, the people who love them have been very good to writer Stephenie Meyer. The writer, creator of the mega-selling Twilight series of vampire novels, has achieved that rarest of feats for modern authors: She's become a celebrity, a household name.
Meyer's comic biography resonated with fans of the Twilight novels and movies. Bluewater, in fact, sold out of several runs of the comic, making it one of the most successful of the company's hot-selling line of biography comics. That's why, this edition called “Twilight Unbound: The Stephenie Meyer Story”, will release a new hard cover version of Meyer's story.
Last year, Meyer also became a comic-book star. Bluewater Productions in November released Female Force: Stephenie Meyer, a graphic biography detailing Meyer's rise from unknown writer to the guiding force behind one of the book industry's top-selling franchises.
This new version will include updates on the success of New Moon, the most recent Twilight film, and a look at Meyer's future plans for Edward and Bella, the romantic leads of her vampire books. The book will also be stuffed with extras, making it a must-buy for Twilight fans.

Kristen Stewart Hopes 'Eclipse' Proposal Scene 'Turned Out All Right'..

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are getting married. Wait, it's not what you think. In "Eclipse," out in June, their characters Bella and Edward decide to take their relationship to the next level and get engaged.
But Stewart had some apprehensions about shooting that scene. She didn't want the scenario of two teens, one being a vampire who happens to be many years older than his facade of 17, deciding to marry one another to look silly or unbelievable.
"Well, to decide you're gonna marry someone at 18 is a pretty hefty decision," she told MTV News from the red carpet of the premiere of her new movie, "The Yellow Handkerchief." "And I didn't want to look stupid. I didn't want it to look like kids getting married. You know what I mean?"
Stewart said she had to find an emotional space that allowed her to make a teenage engagement seem plausible. "I wanted to be, like, 'Oh! Wow! I would say yes too!' You know what I mean? So I don't know how you do that. You try to do it for real, and it felt good. I hope it turned out alright."
The actress also shared which scenes she'd like to see appear in the "Eclipse" trailer that's set to premiere in March during showings of Pattinson's "Remember Me." "Oh, my gosh! There's a really cool thing that happens on a cliff with Jacob that should definitely be in there," she explained. "Battle stuff. I would say the [newborn vampires]. The newborns are going to look awesome."

Robert Pattinson Says He'll Be 'A Tiny Bit Naked' In Future Roles..
Crazed fans, "Twilight" moms and candy-stealing elephants: It's all in a day's work for . The actor talks about all of the above in the cover story of next month's Details, in an article by screenwriter Jenny Lumet.
Best known for penning "Rachel Getting Married," Lumet said she first met Pattinson in November of 2008 when she was doing some rewrite work for "Remember Me" and has kept in touch with him through filming of the movie.
The article reveals a variety of interesting and unusual details about Pattinson — his fascination with certain disfiguring diseases, an insatiable hunger built out of not trusting room service food, among others — but beyond that, the interview is one of the most revealing looks at Pattinson to date, largely because it is told through the eyes of a friend.
Pattinson explains about his struggle with fame, and the revelations he had about himself during the time from "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" to "New Moon."
"When I was 17 until, I don't know, 20, I had this massive, baseless confidence. This very clear idea of myself and how I would achieve success, which involved making decisions," Pattinson said. "Having control. Except you have to figure out whether the way you think at 19 or 20 has any value. And eventually I understood, with all that control, which was probably illusory, I wasn't progressing. So now I'm relinquishing a bit. I'll be a tiny bit naked.
"Except tonight I won't," he added with a laugh, "because it's f---ing freezing and my b---s will shrivel up."
With next month's "Remember Me," Lumet wrote that it could be the first chance for audiences to see a Robert Pattinson that had truly let go. His character, Tyler, is a young man closed off from the world until he meets a woman (Emilie de Ravin) and has to choose whether to continue his isolation or to embrace life.
"Tyler is so aware of his actions," Pattinson said. "But he has no idea whether they're of any value at all. Can you be a person if you live in the bubble? He's stuck in the middle. At the same time, he's lucky to have the choice. Conflict is innate in a lucky person."
And when asked what attracted him to the role, Pattinson was quick to make the comparisons between himself and Tyler. "I'm a lucky person. Thank God," he said. "And I'm conflicted. Thank God."
As for the elephants, Pattinson had his run-in with them while he was in discussions with Sean Penn to star in "Water for Elephants." A female elephant lifted him up into her mouth.
"I was holding on to her head, and as I slowly let go she tightened her grip really carefully until I'm just upside down in her mouth and she's going through my pockets with her trunk, looking for peppermints," he recalled. "It was the best day of my life."

Taylor Lautner And Chace Crawford Ready To Score At Super Bowl Celebrity Football Game

What could be better than looking at "Twilight" star Taylor Lautner with his shirt off? How about watching him run around and get all sweaty? Oh yes, we’re totally serious.
Taylor has signed on to play in the fourth annual DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl, a flag-football game that serves as part of the weekend festivities surrounding the Super Bowl. According to the Direct TV, the game will feature former NFL pros Troy Aikman and Warren Moon serving as quarterbacks of the two teams.
Last year’s event was a huge success, as tens of thousands of fans gathered to watch Blake Lively, Penn Badgley and Maria Menounos take part in the game. So, who else is joining Taylor on the field this year? Chace Crawford, Jessica Szohr, Victoria's Secret model Marisa Miller, Christian Slater, celebrity foodie Guy Fieri and "Entourage" star Kevin Dillon will all team up for the event. The All American Rejects will perform live right after the game, and quarterback Eli Manning will oversee the festivities.
Taylor is no stranger to football. The 17-year-old was spotted this past weekend at the Colts game in Indianapolis alongside actor Rob Lowe. Ladies take note: there’s a good chance he’ll be sticking around town for the Superbowl, which will take place the day after his flag football debut on February 6.
