Memorable Quotes from Eclipse...Chapter 10
Eclipse - Chapter 10
It was hard to get used to how much faster Jacob was without his car. How everyone seemed to be so much faster than me…
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.215
I’m not worried about anyone who would be deterred by a locked door.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.215
Is it really so impossible to wear clothes, Jacob?
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.215
What do I look like, a pack mule?
Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.216
That’s more than just a fashion statement — it sucks to carry jeans in your mouth.
Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.216
Does my being half-naked bother you?
Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.216
What’s it like — having a vampire for a boyfriend?
Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.218
Do you have a medical degree that you never told me about?
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.220
What’s it like — having a werewolf for a best friend?
Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.222
One of the many hazards of socializing with vampires. It makes you smell bad. A minor hazard, comparatively.
Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.223
I wondered if he had trouble saying the word werewolf aloud, the way I often had difficulty with vampire.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.223
Okay! Time for the werewolf to get out!
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.224
Are you trying to distract me? It’s working.
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.224
I can’t afford it, and I’m not letting you throw away enough money to buy yourself another sports car just so that I can pretend to go to Dartmouth next year.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.225
It gets easier. After a few decades, everyone you know is dead. Problem solved.
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.226
Jasper is sort of an expert on young vampires.
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.230
Do you ever think that your life might be easier if you weren’t in love with me?
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.230
I was rather under the impression that you’d promised to ask my permission to go to some kind of werewolf soirée tonight.
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.230
I do have a bit more insight into his probable answer than most people would, it’s true.
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.231
It was stupid to want to go hang out with a bunch of big idiot wolf-boys right now when there was so much that was frightening and unexplained going on. Of course, that was exactly why I wanted to go. I wanted to escape the death threats, for just a few hours . . . to be the less-mature, more-reckless Bella who could laugh it off with Jacob, if only briefly.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.231
I stared at the beautiful machine. Beside it, my bike looked like a broken tricycle. I felt a sudden wave of sadness when I realized that this was not a bad analogy for the way I probably looked next to Edward.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.233
There are things between my hands right now that I can’t live without. You could take care of them.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.235
He’s being pretty dang pleasant about this; you don’t need to push your luck.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 10, p.238

Anna Kendrick in "O" Magazine!

The always beautiful Anna Kendrick, aka Jessica, appeared in the May issue of Oprah Winfrey's magazine. Anna is featured as one of the women we will be "hearing a lot about in the next 10 years".
The magazine asked Anna a few short questions. She described herself as awkward, honest, and says as a child she wanted to be a rock climber! Interesting!
I hope they show Anna as Jessica at Bella's graduation party in Eclipse. I can only imagine the new Jessica quotes we will get! :)

Kristen Stewart Says Bella's Not As 'Tortured' In 'Eclipse'
KStew says Bella's growth made third 'Twilight' film easier than 'New Moon.'
From MTV:
Kristen Stewart reveals in Entertainment Weekly's summer movie preview issue, that made the character much easier to play. "I wasn't as tortured as I was on 'New Moon.' Bella really knows what she wants in 'Eclipse.' She's not just a dumb kid talking because she's in love."
That's not to suggest that playing a more-focused Bella was a breeze. Though the teen matures over the course of the story, graduating from high school and getting engaged to Robert Pattinson's Edward, at one point she is pulled back into the romantic embrace of Taylor Lautner's werewolf Jacob. That scene was difficult, both because Stewart sees Lautner as something of a younger brother and because she understands that Bella truly loves Edward.
"It felt really weird kissing someone else as Bella. I was like, 'What the hell are you doing?' " she said. "It was a really strange experience — as it should have been."
And then there's an experience that fans have been looking forward to for years — one not strange at all but rather a long time coming: Edward and Bella's engagement. Producer Wyck Godfrey said the scene will more than fulfill expectations. "She walks into Edward's room, and there's a beautiful four-poster bed, and it's like, 'Wow, here we go!' "

Kristen Stewart says it was 'strange' for 'Bella' to kiss 'Jacob' in 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'
From Twilight Examiner:
While Jacob (Taylor Lautner) might not have gotten a kiss from Bella (Kristen Stewart) in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, any good Twilight fan knows that there are not one but two kisses between these characters in Eclipse.
When it came to bringing that kiss to the big screen, for Kristen Stewart, it was a bit strange - at least, according to her interview with Entertainment Weekly for its EW Summer Preview featuring The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

For Kristen Stewart, who reprises her role as Bella in Twilight: Eclipse, locking lips with costar Taylor Lautner (who plays her pal Jacob) felt odd—not just because she thinks of Lautner as a kid brother, but because Bella’s heart truly belongs to vampire hottie Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). “It felt really weird kissing someone else as Bella,” says Stewart. “I was like, ‘What the hell are you doing?’ It was a really strange experience—as it should have been.”

'Eclipse' Stars Kellan Lutz and Xavier Samuel Pose For VMAN...
From Hollywood Crush:
Kellan Lutz with his bleached Emmett Cullen hair, but we certainly dig this photo of the man in a suit jacket with no shirt underneath (scandalous!) giving the camera a saucy look. It's no Calvin Klein underwear ad, but we'll take what we can get.

Aussie Xavier Samuel, soon to be seen in "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," wears a "Miami Vice"-style white blazer over a T-shirt. Sounds cheesy in theory, looks pretty fantastic in practice. But boys should probably know that this is a look not everyone can pull off. You kind of have to be a vampire heartthrob with perfect white teeth. Just saying.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart’s ECLIPSE Meadow Scene: Flawlessly Romantic...
Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart in the Eclipse meadow scene...
When I read that the meadow scene from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse would have to be reshot I found that hard to believe. The sequence, as seen in the released Eclipse images and teaser trailer, looks flawless in terms of ambiance and energy. True, you can’t tell how good Robert Pattinson’s and Kristen Stewart’s acting is just by looking at the photos, but the Bella-Edward chemistry does come through.
Their on-screen chemistry is even more palpable in the brief meadow clip found in the trailer, when Edward promises Bella he’ll love her forever and ever. (Jacob’s promise to fight for her until her stops beating sounds more spooky than romantic, as far as I’m concerned. But some people may be into that sort of stuff.)
A Summit representative has reportedly dismissed the claim that parts of the meadow sequence would have to be reshot. The rep also added that David Slade, not rumored replacements Chris Weitz (New Moon) and Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), would direct the brief (and long pre-planned) Eclipse reshoots — or rather, pickups — some time in the next few weeks.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, written by Melissa Rosenberg from Stephenie Meyer’s novel, opens on June 30. Meyer’s novels, I should add, are #5 among the "most challenged" books of 2009. “Challenged” as in books that some would like to have removed from libraries.
Also in the Eclipse cast are Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jackson Rathbone, Billy Burke, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Anna Kendrick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Ashley Greene. Cinematography by Javier Aguirresarobe.

Memorable Quotes from Eclipse...Chapter 9
Eclipse - Chapter 9
If Jacob preferred me dead, then maybe he should get used to the silence.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 9, p.197
If you two are having a fight… well, don’t let me interrupt.
Charlie Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 9, p.201
Edward, if I try to do too much, things are going to start slipping through the cracks.
Alice Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 9, p.202
I was frustrated. Against my better judgment, I was still human.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 9, p.207
They’ll get so bored, they’ll have to kill me themselves, just for something to do.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 9, p.207
Is Jacob paying you for all the P.R., or are you a volunteer?
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 9, p.207
He sang me to sleep again and — aware even in unconsciousness that he was there — I slept free of nightmares.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 9, p.208
Holding grudges is not one of your many talents.
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 9, p.209
There’s… well, there’s this other problem that’s slightly more worrisome than a bratty teenage werewolf…

'Twilight' Carlisle Cullen Named Wealthiest Fictional Character...
Forget that boring Forbes 500 list, with its Walmarts, oil companies and lack of vampires. The better Forbes list was released this week, the one that not only includes vampires, but puts a bloodsucker squarely on top of the list.
In its annual ranking of the wealthiest fictional characters, Forbes calculated that Carlisle Cullen -- the father of the vampiric Cullen clan from the Twilight novels and movies -- is the most well-heeled character in the world with an estimated fortune of over $34 billion.
Forbes... explain yourself:
Immortal vampire and small-town doctor has quietly amassed a fortune over the centuries. In 1670 received generous handout from Italian friends; put savings in bank, reaped billions in compound interest. Made shrewd long-term investments in steel, gold, oil, thanks to prescience of daughter turned financial advisor Alice; saw recessions coming, invested early in Wal-Mart. Earned doctor's salary for 340 years without paying for groceries, health care expenses. Avoids sunshine and public displays of wealth but owns several valuable properties, including yacht, private island, collection of Renaissance art.
Everyone's favorite feathered billionaire Scrooge McDuck's $33.5 billion -- mostly in gold coins -- was enough to put him in the #2 slot, while Richie Rich continues to creep us out in the third position with $11.5 billion.
Tony "Iron Man" Stark is only at #4 with $8.8 billion, though that may change depending on how well his sequel does this summer. And good ol' Jed Clampett keeps sipping that Texas Tea to the tune of $7.2 billion and the final spot in the top five.
Here is the entire Forbes Fictional 15:
1. Carlisle Cullen (Twilight): $34.1 billion
2. Scrooge McDuck: $33.5 billion
3. Richie Rich: $11.5 billion
4. Tony Stark (Iron Man): $8.8 billion
5. Jed Clampett (Beverly Hillbillies): $7.2 billion
6. Adrian "Ozymandias" Veidt (Watchmen): $7 billion
7. Bruce Wayne (Batman): $6.5 billion
8. The Tooth Fairy (she's real): $3.9 billion
9. Thurston Howell, III (Gilligan's Island): $2.1 billion
10. Sir Tophamm Hatt (Thomas the Tank Engine): $2 billion
11. Artemis Fowl II : $1.9 billion
12. Montgomery C. Burns (The Simpsons): $1.3 billion
13. Chuck Bass (Gossip Girl): $1.1 billion
14. Jay Gatsby (The Great Gatsby): $1 billion
15. Lucille Bluth (Arrested Development): $950 million

Memorable Quotes from Eclipse...Chapter 8
Eclipse - Chapter 8
Charlie’s blatant preference for my Quileute friends was so unfair. I wondered if he would feel the same if he knew the choice was really between vampires and werewolves.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.173
So what’s the latest pack scandal?
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.173
I forget what it’s like, not having everyone know everything all the time. Having a quiet, private place inside my head.
Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.174
It’s not like love at first sight, really. It’s more like… gravity moves. When you see her, suddenly it’s not the earth holding you here anymore. She does. And nothing matters more than her. And you would do anything for her, be anything for her… You become whatever she needs you to be, whether that’s a protector, or a lover, or a friend, or a brother.
Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.176
We can’t all be freakishly strong.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.177
But I’ll never see anyone else, Bella. I only see you. Even when I close my eyes and try to see something else. Ask Quil or Embry. It drives them all crazy.
Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.177
If I get hurt, it was because I tripped.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.178
All the splendor of the Taj Mahal, without the inconvenience and expense of traveling to India.
Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.179
I traded a lifetime of servitude for a box of conversation hearts. That’s not something I’m likely to forget.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.178
I held very still — a reaction to stress. It was a habit I’d picked up from Edward.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.180
You won’t be Bella anymore. My friend won’t exist. There’ll be no one to forgive.
Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.182
You’d be better off dead. I rather you were.
Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.183
There was no friction in the space between us. The stillness was peaceful — not like the calm before the tempest, but like a clear night untouched by even the dream of a storm.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.185
I was all braced for the wrath that was going to put grizzlies to shame, and this is what I get? I should infuriate you more often.
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.186
I like danger.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.188
I’m going to spontaneously combust one of these days — and you’ll have no one but yourself to blame.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.188
I don’t mind if you want to give me the wrong impression again.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.188
I go a little berserk when I try to leave you. I don’t think I’ll go so far again. It’s not worth it.
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.189
You can hold me hostage any time you want.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.189
Where did all this tolerance come from?
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.190
If you’re going to have a lapse in control, I can think of a better place for it.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.192
Must I always be the responsible one?
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.192
Let me be in charge of responsibility for a few minutes… or hours.
Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.192
I prefer brunettes.
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.194
You’re quite adorable when you’re jealous. It’s surprisingly enjoyable.
Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.194
You are the only one who has ever touched my heart. It will always be yours.

HitFix: Confirmed: ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ doing Pickups with David Slade, not Reshoots..
Rumors and gossip have followed the “Twilight Saga” ever since the first film created an uproar at the box office a year and a half ago. From the personal relationship between the stars to who will direct which sequel, it’s been a non-stop job for Summit Entertainment to put out one fire after another. That continued today.
This morning Canadian gossip site Lainey Gossip reported that reshoots of two key scenes for the forthcoming “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” were occurring in Vancouver next week. The pundit also floated that because of “creative differences” with the studio director David Slade wouldn’t oversee the reshoots and that former helmers Catherine Hardwicke (“Twilight”) and Chris Weitz (“New Moon”) could step in instead. Because the outlet is based in the city and has been correct on a number stories regarding the franchise before, many media took the report with a hint of credibility which was a mistake.
HitFix has learned that Slade, who is currently overseeing the film’s score in London, would be headed to Vancouver himself to film what are obvstentively pick up shots, not reshot scenes. Pick up shots are cut into already completed scenes and can be necessary because of anything from bad lighting, a faulty print or a missing expression or line that was determined in editing. Reshoots insinuate a completely new scene being inserted into a picture.
Additionally, a Summit spokesperson told HitFix that the shoot has been planned for months, the picture is not in “trouble” and, in fact, the studio thinks it may be the best of the three so far. Considering, this writer has heard praise for “Eclipse’s” script, that’s easy to believe. The spokesperson also noted that reshoot timing is three days or less, is not a lot of material and furthermore, they do not involve the meadow scene or any action scenes whatsoever.
Fans will be able to decide their opinion on Slade’s vision for “Eclipse” when the film opens nationwide on June 30.

Gossip Cop has the Official Word on “Eclipse” Reshoots...
From Gossip Cop:
A report widely disseminated earlier today made big waves by claiming that “key scenes” in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse need to be reshot in Vancouver, and speculated that the development indicated production on the June release was troubled.
Gossip Cop looked into it, and we have the exclusive answers.
First, regarding the implication that these reshoots were unexpected, an authorized rep for the studio tells Gossip Cop, “The reshoot was planned for months, like it is with the majority of films.”
Let Gossip Cop settle some other false rumors.
Contrary to today’s inaccurate speculation, “creative differences” have not led Summit to consider bringing in another director for the reshoots.
David Slade is 100% directing them, like he did the entire movie, and the studio is “very happy” with his direction of the film, which internally is believed to be the best of the series.
As for the timing, speculation that there will be three rushed days of 18-hour shoots is incorrect. The Summit rep tells Gossip Cop that it’s a two-and-a-half to three-day shoot, and that “very little” actually has to be reshot.
But the biggest misconception concerned the specific scenes alleged to be those in need of a reshoot. The rep confirms to Gossip Cop, “None of the meadow or action scenes are being reshot.”
Asked to comment on today’s alarmist rumors, the authorized rep for the studio tells Gossip Cop, “Reports much like the one earlier today are ploys to drive traffic without any merit and without any support from the studio on what is actually going on or true.”
Gossip Cop will continue to bring accurate “Eclipse” production news before the film’s June theatrical release.
