Memorable Quotes from Eclipse...Chapter 17

Eclipse - Chapter 17

This kiss frightened me. There was too much tension, too strong an edge to the way his lips crushed mine — like he was afraid we only had so much time left to us.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 17, p.365

Everyone will come. They’re all dying to see the inside of the reclusive Cullens’ mystery house.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 17, p.367

I saw Emmett grin at Mike over the food table, the red lights gleaming off his teeth, and watched Mike take an automatic step back.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 17, p.368

She was forever trying to make me be human the way she thought humans should be.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 17, p.368

In case my right hook was too subtle for you, let me translate: that was me uninviting you.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 17, p.372

Could I please have just a few seconds of your undivided attention, Miss Swan?

Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 17, p.373

I really am sorry. About the other day, I mean, too. I shouldn’t have kissed you like that. It was wrong. I guess . . . well, I guess I deluded myself into thinking you wanted me to.

Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 17, p.373

Well, I figured that maybe it would make you remember me once in a while. You know how it is, out of sight, out of mind.

Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 17, p.375

Don’t lie to me, you suck at lying.

Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 17, p.375

All around us, my friends and neighbors and petty enemies ate and laughed and swayed to the music, oblivious to the fact that they were about to face horror, danger, maybe death. Because of me.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 17, p.379

We have a few advantages, dog. It will be an even fight.

Jasper Hale, Eclipse, Chapter 17, p.379

The Twilight Saga “Eclipse” Women in Vanity Fair...

From Gossip Cop:

The female stars of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse have been photographed for a major spread in Vanity Fair, Gossip Cop has learned exclusively.

Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Nikki Reed and Elizabeth Reaser (among others) participated in a photo shoot last Sunday for an issue set to arrive on stands around the time Eclipse hits theaters.

Gossip Cop will keep you updated with more details. Stay tuned.

5 Questions with Twilight's Peter Facinelli...

Peter Facinelli meet-and-greet

WHERE: Huntington Mall gazebo
WHEN: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday

TICKETS: Autographs $25, pictures are $40. Cash only. A portion of the proceeds benefits Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a pediatric cancer charity.

INFO: www.huntingtonmall.com or 800-615-3535

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Actor Peter Facinelli says he doesn't know who'd win if the vampires of "Twilight" ever faced off against the vampires of "True Blood." The exceedingly busy actor scarcely has time to check out the competition. He does, though, have time for a special appearance at the Huntington Mall on Sunday.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Facinelli will sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans at the mall gazebo. Autographs are $25 and pictures are $40 (cash only), with a portion of the proceeds going to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a pediatric cancer charity.

The gazz caught up with Facinelli, who was between meetings and sounded exhausted, to talk about the life of a working vampire.

Q: How is the world of vampires these days?

A: Busy. It's a good thing I have eternity.

Q: You have the third "Twilight" film, "Eclipse," coming out in June. What else are you working on?

A: I wrote a movie, and we're shooting that in July, which should finish just in time to start the third season of "Nurse Jackie" [on Showtime]. Then, hopefully, we'll find out what we're doing with "Breaking Dawn" by then.

Q: Do you have any idea when "Breaking Dawn" might start filming?

A: Nope.

Q: The "Twilight" franchise has changed directors with every film. How does that affect you as an actor?

A: I think it's more difficult for the director. They're coming in on a moving train. Everyone already has their characters created. I like working with different directors. I've done television series, like "Nurse Jackie" and "Six Feet Under," and every episode is a new director. They come in and give a new perspective on the material.

Q: After three films, has your relationship with the rest of the cast changed?

A: No. I think the only thing that has changed is more people are aware of us on the streets. When we shot "Twilight," we'd all go out to dinner, and nobody cared what we were shooting or what we were doing. Now, if we go out to dinner, we have vans of people following us, which doesn't always make for a good time. So we end up spending more of our time in our rooms, just ordering in.

Robert Pattinson Makes The 2010 TIME 100 List: Article Written by Chris Weitz...

Robert Pattinson
By Chris Weitz

I have to be careful about what I write here because it will be tweeted the moment TIME hits the stands. And if I say something bad about Rob Pattinson, I’m dead meat. That’s the devotion the Twilight films inspire. It’s certainly not how he planned it. And though I am continually impressed by the aplomb with which he handles the hysteria, I occasionally think he would take it all back if given the chance. Because essentially, Rob, 23, is a reserved, bookish sort of specimen, a guy who’d rather spend the night at the corner table in the pub with friends — a bit of a weirdo, frankly, in the best sense.

So how to write about someone who seems to answer Freud’s rhetorical question, What do women want? Perhaps it’s just worth pointing out that it’d be fun to have a beer with him even if he weren’t Edward Cullen. That we haven’t seen a tenth of what he can do onscreen. And that important things, beyond the veil of Hollywood, occupy his time too — music, conversation, ideas, a sense of the absurd. Which, maybe, explains why he never gets to my e-mails. I love you, Rob! Call me!

Memorable Quotes from Eclipse...Chapter 16

Eclipse - Chapter 16

Stupid, thieving, annoying vampire!

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.347

I can’t imagine how awful that must feel. Being normal? Ugh.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.347

You don’t have anything like this. For crying out loud, you only own one skirt!

Alice Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.348

Well, everyone can relax. Nobody’s trying to exterminate the Cullens after all.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.349

If someone wants one of us, they’re going to have to go through the rest of us to get to her.

Alice Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.350

And now Edward rode in the backseat of my father’s police car, behind the fiberglass divider, with an amused expression — probably due to my father’s amused expression, and the grin that widened every time Charlie stole a glance at Edward in his rearview mirror. Which almost certainly meant that Charlie was imagining things that would get him in trouble with me if he said them out loud.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.351

Please don’t get all weepy on me.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.352

They stood out from the rest of the crowd, their beauty and grace otherworldly. I wondered how I’d ever fallen for their human farce. A couple of angels, standing there with wings intact, would be less conspicuous.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.354

Okay, so telling Edward had been a really bad idea. Alice was right to keep her thoughts clouded. I should have waited till we were alone somewhere, maybe with the rest of his family. And nothing breakable close by — like windows… cars… school buildings.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.358

No matter what side I’m on, if someone kisses you without your permission, you should be able to make your feelings clear without hurting yourself.

Charlie Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 16, p.362

The right thing isn’t always real obvious. Sometimes the right thing for one person is the wrong thing for someone else. So… good luck figuring that out.

Robert Pattinson Set for Second “Ellen” Appearance...

From Gossip Cop:

Robert Pattinson is set to take another bite out of daytime.

The Eclipse vampire will join Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show in an episode airing Wednesday, May 19, Gossip Cop can confirm. It will be taped the previous day.

It isn’t the first “Ellen” engagement for Pattinson. The star appeared on the program back in November while promoting New Moon. That was the interview in which he described a woman in a public crowd getting naked to get his attention.

Gossip Cop will have more scoops as the June 30 Eclipse release nears.

Confirmed: Oscar-winner Bill Condon directing 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn'..

As reported earlier, Summit Entertainment has found its next "Twilight" filmmaker and now formally locked up Oscar-winner Bill Condon to direct "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn." While none of the stars have signed deals yet, the entire cast including Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are expected to return. This is possibly one reason the studio has not confirmed whether, as rumored, there will be one or two "Breaking Dawn" films.

“I'm very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life on-screen. As fans of the series know, this is a one-of-a-kind book - and we're hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience," said Bill Condon.

The fourth book in Stephenie Meyer's popular series chronicles Bella's most advanced initiation into the vampire world to date, but is also seen by many as the most difficult to adapt of all the best-selling novels. Melissa Rosenberg, who adapted the first two novels, would continue in that role for "Dawn." Stephenie Meyer has already met with Condon to discuss the project. She noted in the release, "I'm so thrilled that Bill wants to work with us. I think he's going to be a great fit, and I'm excited to see what he does with the material."

Erik Feig, President of Production and Acquisitions, for Summit Entertainment added, "Bringing Stephenie Meyer's BREAKING DAWN to the screen requires a graceful and intelligent hand and we believe Bill Condon is exactly the right steward, having shown equal and abundant talents of immense creativity and subtle sensitivity."

Condon is best known for directing and adapting the box office and critical hit "Dreamgirls" which was nominated for eight Academy Awards and won two including Best Supporting Actress for star Jennifer Hudson. The film also won the Golden Globe for Best Picture - Musical or Comedy and grossed $103 million at the U.S. box office. The filmmaker won his own Oscar in 1998 for Best Adapted Screenplay for "Gods and Monsters." He was subsequently nominated again in the same category for "Chicago." Condon also received a prestigious Director's Guild of America Best Director nod for "Dreamgirls." More impressive, besides Hudson's breakthrough, he's shepherded Oscar nominations for Ian McKellen ("Gods and Monsters"), Lynn Redgrave ("Gods and Monsters") and Laura Linney ("Kinsey"). And for those concerned about Condon's genre credentials, he's more than happy to discuss directing 1995's "Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh" to anyone who will ask. Most recently, Condon teamed up with producer Larry Mark to produce the 81st Academy Awards with host Hugh Jackman. That show received strong critical notices and was nominated for more Emmy Awards than any Oscar broadcast in history.

Upcoming projects for Condon include the potential HBO series "Tilda" starring Diane Keaton and inspired by notorious online entertainment blogger Nikki Finke. Condon will shoot the pilot for "Tilda" before "Breaking Dawn" begins prep early this summer. The fate of the long in the works "Richard Pryor" biopic and the recently announced drama "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" is still unclear.

Catherine Hardwicke directed the first "Twilight" which was a surprise blockbuster grossing $384 million worldwide. The follow up, last fall's "New Moon" was shepherded by fan favorite Chris Weitz and made an eye-popping $707 million worldwide. The third chapter, "Eclipse," will hit theaters on June 30 under David Slade's direction.

Production is expected to begin early this fall.

Robert Pattinson at Heathrow Airport Going To Vancouver for Eclipse Reshoots...

From Popsugar:

Robert Pattinson looked gorgeous and scruffy as he arrived at Heathrow Airport this afternoon in his cap, sunnies and jeans. He had his guitar case for company, but will no doubt be reunited with Kristen Stewart and the rest of the Twilight gang as the cast gather in Vancouver for Eclipse reshoots. We've already seen Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner make their way from LAX to Canada so it was only a matter of time until rich Robert joined them.

Vancouver Re-shoot Arrivals!

So far, we have seen Taylor and Kristen arriving in Vancouver for the re-shoot. No sign of Rob yet. Eclipse director David Slade also arrived in Vancouver several days ago. I hope all goes well with the release of Eclipse being so close! It's nice that they get to spend some time together, but I would bet it's also quite stressful. Best of luck to the cast and crew!

Check out more pictures of Taylor and Kristen's arrival here, and here.

Will Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart make People's Magazine "Most Beautiful" Issue?

Last year, Robert Pattinson took a spot in People Magazine’s “Most Beautiful” issue. Kristen Stewart was just recently added as the homepage feature for People’s “Beautiful at Every Age” feature story.

So, it begs the question – will either of them earn a spot in this year’s “Most Beautiful” issue?

Countless magazines and websites have listed both Robert and Kristen as beautiful people. But, is that enough to earn them a coveted spot in the magazine?

With Kristen’s flood of red carpet press lately, plus her upcoming Flaunt issue, AND her appearance in Teen Vogue’s “Best Dressed” March issue, she’s been given rave reviews for her looks as of late.

Robert Pattinson has, for the most part, always been the center of “good looking” attention since he starred as Edward Cullen in “Twilight”.

However, if you recall the “Most Beautiful” issue, it’s not all about looks. It’s about do-gooders and people who live by hat they believe in.

In a recent post, I discussed the charitable contributions the “Twilight” cast has made. There is no doubt that Rob and Kristen do as much as they can given their schedules, and the fact that they are extremely busy but still manage to make time for charity only adds to their beauty.

Additionally, both Rob and Kristen stick to their guns when it comes to living their lives the way they want to, aside from what their celebrity, magazines, television or movie studios ask of them.

Only time will tell, but do you believe Rob and Kristen deserve a spot in the issue? They have my vote.

Memorable Quotes from Eclipse...Chapter 15

Eclipse - Chapter 15

I miss you when you’re not there. When you’re happy, it makes me happy. But I could say the same thing about Charlie, Jacob. You’re family. I love you, but I’m not in love with you.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.329

You can have me the way I am — bad behavior included — or not at all.

Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.329

You love me, too. Not the same way, I know. But he’s not your whole life, either. Not anymore. Maybe he was once, but he left. And now he’s just going to have to deal with the consequence of that choice — me.

Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.330

Until your heart stops beating, Bella. I’ll be here — fighting. Don’t forget that you have options.

Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.330

I can’t wait to see what Edward does to you! I hope he snaps your neck, you pushy, obnoxious, moronic DOG!

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.332

I’ll give you passionate. Murder, the ultimate crime of passion.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.332

If I think about you tonight, it will be because I’m having a nightmare.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.333

When he left, you spent all your energy holding on to him. You could be happy if you let go. You could be happy with me.

Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.333

I don’t want to be happy with anyone but him.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.333

That was not kissing back, that was trying to get you the hell off of me, you idiot.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.334

Next time you want to hit me, use a baseball bat or a crowbar, okay?

Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.335

I don’t want any fighting, do you understand? I can go put my badge on if that makes my request more official.

Charlie Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.338

I’m not going to kill you now, because it would upset Bella.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.340

But if you ever bring her back damaged again — and I don’t care whose fault it is; I don’t care if she merely trips, or if a meteor falls out of the sky and hits her in the head — if you return her to me in less than the perfect condition that I left her in, you will be running with three legs. Do you understand that, mongrel?

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.340

I’ll be fighting for her, too. You should know that. I’m not taking anything for granted, and I’ll be fighting twice as hard as you will.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.341

She is mine. I didn’t say I would fight fair.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.341

Fall down again, Bella?

Emmett Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.342

I punched a werewolf in the face.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.342

I guess I could throw in a few extra homicides, if it makes Jasper happy. Why not?

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.343

Was there a human experience I was not willing to give up?

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 15, p.345

Jealous Edward....swoon!

Breaking Dawn Will Start Filming in October?

The Australian Herald Sun posted an article about the Twilight cast in Melbourne for the Twilight Convention, where Christian Serratos let it slip that Breaking Dawn starts shooting in october.

While Serratos’s Eclipse co-stars Gil Birmingham, Daniel Cudmore and Booboo Stewart remained coy about the film’s start date, the actor and sometime model accidentally let the cat out of the bag.

“No word is out yet,” Stewart said, to which Serratos quickly replied “No, October.”

Birmingham, who plays Taylor Lautner’s father Jacob Black, quickly tried to cover up the blunder.

“We could tell you, but we’d have to kill you – like we will Christian,” he said.

The four Eclipse stars, who flew out today, have been in Australia for the Twilight convention held at Melbourne University on Sunday.

Serratos said she had got used to the Twilight mania.

“People say it is like Beatle-mania,” Serratos said.

“But after a while it becomes second nature, I mean it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with the character you’re playing.”

'Eclipse' MTV EXCLUSIVE New Still: Xavier Samuel Leads The Newborn Army

From Hollywood Crush:

In what was perhaps once of the best moments in the second "Eclipse" trailer, we saw Victoria's (Bryce Dallas Howard) newborn army ominously follow her right-hand man, Riley (Xavier Samuel), into a body of water and then suddenly emerge on the other side with the stern look of vengeance in their eyes.

If you've been thinking about that scene ever since you watched the trailer on Friday (and no doubt on a continuous loop over the weekend), then get ready to be chilled all over again! In honor of Summer Movie Preview Week here on MTV News, we're bringing you an EXCLUSIVE new still from "Eclipse"!

While we're sad Bree Tanner (Jodelle Ferland) doesn't seem to be in the picture, it still got our hearts pumping as we realized this had be the scene when Victoria sends her newborn army to Forks in preparation for the final confrontation. If we looked that good soaked in muddy lake water, we'd probably use that as our mode of transportation, too!

Eclipse Trailer Spoof - Bella's New Love Interest...

Memorable Quotes from Eclipse...Chapter 14

Eclipse - Chapter 14

You don’t get to be human again, Bella. This is a once-in-a-lifetime shot.

Alice Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.311

Sure, I thought to myself. Trust him. He wasn’t the one who was going to have to sit behind and wonder whether or not the core of his existence was going to come home.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.312

He was so beautiful that it made it hard sometimes to think about anything else, hard to concentrate on Phil’s troubles or Renée’s apologies or hostile vampire armies. I was only human.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.315

I know you think that I have some kind of perfect, unyielding self-control, but that’s not actually the case.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.315

I hate being babysat.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.316

Human blood makes us the strongest, though only fractionally. Jasper’s been thinking about cheating — adverse as he is to the idea, he’s nothing if not practical — but he won’t suggest it. He knows what Carlisle will say.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.317

We aren’t going to change who we are.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.317

If something helped even the odds… and then I shuddered, realizing I was willing to have a stranger die to protect him. I was horrified at myself, but not entirely able to deny it, either.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.317

Do me a favor and challenge him to an arm-wrestling match. It would be a good experience for him.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.317

I was pleased to have an option besides being babysat. There was a tiny bit more dignity in spending the day with Jacob.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.318

It’s not easy to ignore someone when he’s shouting.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.319

I wanted to make both of them get out of their cars and shake hands and be friends — be Edward and Jacob rather than vampire and werewolf. It was as if I had those two stubborn magnets in my hands again, and I was holding them together, trying to force nature to reverse herself…

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.319

Hey, it’s the least I can do — I offered eternal servitude, remember. I’m your slave for life.

Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.321

While he slept, every trace of defensiveness and bitterness disappeared and suddenly he was the boy who had been my very best friend before all the werewolf nonsense had gotten in the way. He looked so much younger. He looked like my Jacob.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.323

There was just something about him being the one to make the choice — to want to keep me enough that he wouldn’t just allow me to be changed, he would act to keep me. It was childish, but I liked the idea that his lips would be the last good thing I would feel. Even more embarrassingly, something I would never say aloud, I wanted his venom to poison my system. It would make me belong to him in a tangible, quantifiable way.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.324

I’m in love with you, Bella. Bella, I love you. And I want you to pick me instead of him. I know you don’t feel that way, but I need the truth out there so that you know your options. I wouldn’t want a miscommunication to stand in our way.

Jacob Black, Eclipse, Chapter 14, p.327

PopSugar Video: The 'Eclipse' Trailer’s 5 Sexiest Man Moments...

Thanks Popsugar!

Final 'Eclipse' Trailer: What Was Missing?

From Hollywood Crush:

Thank you, Summit Entertainment and David Slade, for listening to our pleas. This newest "Eclipse" trailer was — pretty much — everything we could possibly dream it would be.

Newborn vamps, subtle Jacob/Edward tension, the final battle scene — could we find anything to complain about? OF COURSE WE CAN! And if you couldn't find a couple glaring omissions to this trailer, than shame on you! But just kidding.

BREE TANNER

What a tease. First Stephenie Meyer announced she was publishing a new book about the short-lived Bree Tanner, then Summit announced "Eclipse" was having reshoots (it could have been to include more Bree scenes!), but then when the trailer was released there was no Bree! We wouldn't expect much, since Bree doesn't have much screen time anyways, but we were at least hoping for a quick flash of Jodelle Ferland's face.

FLASHBACKS

A decent amount of "Eclipse's" 629 pages is spent explaining the back story of Jasper, Rosalie and the Quilette tribe through flashbacks. We already know we'll be seeing Jasper's story unfold on screen, and can assume the same about Rosalie and the wolf pack. But where is this in the trailer? We can understand it might be hard to fit into a minute-and-a-half long trailer, but hopefully in the future we'll get to see a featurette or something.

THE TENT SCENE

Well, at least this scene is teased in the trailer, although if you didn't know what you were looking for, you probably would have missed it. At 1:12, Bella and Jacob can be seen talking on a snowy mountain, and at 1:16 Edward and Bella are shown facing off against Victoria. But we want to see Bella curled up in a sleeping bag with a smug Jacob while Edward looks on in tortured agony. Don't make us wait for June 30 for this one, Slade!

'Eclipse' Final Trailer On 'Oprah': A Play-By-Play Of Episode Via Twitter...

From Hollywood Crush:

To those lucky Chicagoans out there who just got to watch the "Oprah" show and see the final "Eclipse" trailer hours before the rest of the country, we're all VERY envious right now.

Thanks, however, to some crafty Windy City "Twilight" fans, we were able to "watch" the trailer by reading their minute-by-minute tweets about what was happening on the show. So, in order to make sure no one feels left out of the mania, we compiled a timeline (after the jump!) of all the "Eclipse" trailer-related tweets — now we can all pretend like we know what's going on long before "Oprah" airs in our timezone. Oh, Twitter you continue to amaze us with your efficiency!

STARTING AT 9AM CENTRAL TIME:

@mtn_lioness Squeeee! Oprah's on!

@mtn_lioness Queen Rania of Jordan is first story today on Oprah.

@chicaghojen They showed like 2 seconds of it cutting to commercial. Looked like Alice running and then the wolves fighting newborns #EclipseTrailer

@chicaghojen Here it comes! Dakota is on from LA! Oh, she's sick. Poor thing.

@mtn_lioness Oprah's asking Dakota about being part of Twilight. Dakota's glad to be part of it. Showing photos of Jane.

@bellalove72 Dakota hasn't met anyone who's not a twilight fan.

@chicaghojen Another commercial. GAH! #EclipseTrailer

@chicaghojen Audience just screamed. Dakota is presenting it now.

@mtn_lioness here we go! ... Jacob coming to warn Bella, Edward tells him to leave. Edward explains newborn sitch in Seattle. Carlisle says army of vampires...

@chicaghojen Trailer was a lot of fight stuff/showing the creation of the newborn army, B/E outside the tent in the snow, E showing B the engagement ring

Memorable Quotes from Eclipse...Chapter 13

Eclipse - Chapter 13

Our venom is the only thing that leaves a scar.

Jasper Hale, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.287

Before I tell you my story, you must understand that there are places in our world, Bella, where the life span of the never-aging is measured in weeks, and not centuries.

Jasper Hale, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.287

I shuddered at the image in my head, at the word feed. But Jasper wasn’t worried about frightening me, not overprotective like Edward always was.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.288

If not for the Volturi, the rest of us would be quickly exposed.

Jasper Hale, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.288

I frowned at the way he pronounced the name — with respect, almost gratitude. The idea of the Volturi as the good guys in any sense was hard to accept.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.288

My instincts told me that there was danger, that the angel had meant it when she spoke of killing, but my judgment overruled my instincts. I had not been taught to fear women, but to protect them.

Jasper Hale, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.294

When you live for the fight, for the blood, the relationships you form are tenuous and easily broken.

Jasper Hale, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.299

In so many years of slaughter and carnage, I’d lost nearly all of my humanity. I was undeniably a nightmare, a monster of the grisliest kind.

Jasper Hale, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.300

After a century of instant gratification, I found self-discipline… challenging.

Jasper Hale, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.301

And you ducked your head, like a good Southern gentleman, and said, ‘I’m sorry, ma’am.’

Alice Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.301

You held out your hand, and I took it without stopping to make sense of what I was doing. For the first time in almost a century, I felt hope.

Jasper Hale, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.301

Jasper shows up, covered in battle scars, towing this little freak who greets them all by name, knows everything about them, and wants to know which room she can move into.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.302

Does it occur to anyone else that the only possible threat in the area that would call for the creation of an army is… us?

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.303

Damn it. Damn Laurent to the deepest pit of hell where he belongs.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.307

We would win, but we would lose. Some wouldn’t survive.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 13, p.309

MySpace picks 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' #1 'Hot Movie of Summer 2010'...

We can all pretty much agree that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be one of this summer's biggest films, but do you think it will be number one?

Well, MySpace's recent Trailer Park Chart seems to indicate so. In their "Top 5 Hot Movies of Summer 2010" feature, MySpace predicted the top five biggest films of the summer and placed The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in the number one spot.

MySpace cited user comments, saying "This movie is our number one because, judging by your comments, YOU are going to make it the biggest hit of the summer."

The site then went on to say, "This is the 3rd movie in the franchise. The first one grossed $408.7 million, the second one grossed $709.7 million, so it’s only going up. Question is: will it pass the $1 billion worldwide?"

An intriguing question, indeed.

Memorable Quotes from Eclipse...Chapter 12

This is one of my favorite chapters....you see because he was that boy....*sigh*

Eclipse - Chapter 12

Edward is making me do this. But I did foresee that you would be more difficult if I surprised you.

Alice Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.267

Don’t be a baby about this. No tantrums.

Alice Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.267

I’ll be there. And I’ll hate every minute of it. Promise.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.268

How can someone so tiny by so annoying?

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.268

I felt like someone had kicked my legs out from under me. The weeks of stress, of worry… somehow in the middle of all my obsessing over the time, my time had disappeared. My space for sorting through it all, for making plans, had vanished. I was out of time.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.269

I knew exactly what I wanted, but I was suddenly terrified of getting it.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.269

Would you please tell me what you are thinking? Before I go mad?

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.270

Not one of us had a choice. You’ve seen what it’s done… to Rosalie especially. We’ve all struggled, trying to reconcile ourselves with something we had no control over. I won’t let it be that way for you. You will have a choice.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.271

You aren’t going through with this because a sword is hanging over your head. We will take care of the problems, and I will take care of you. When we’re through it, and there is nothing forcing your hand, then you can decide to join me, if you still want to. But not because you’re afraid. You won’t be forced into this.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.271

It’s the thought that counts. I ought to know.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.272

If I answer your question, will you then explain your question?

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.273

If there were any way for me to become human for you — no matter what the price was, I would pay it.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.273

You really do want to keep me, no matter how I turn out?

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.273

And the sound of your heart. It’s the most significant sound in my world.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.274

You’ll always be my Bella, you’ll just be a little more durable.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.274

I’m not that girl, Edward. The one who gets married right out of high school like some small-town hick who got knocked up by her boyfriend!

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.275

Edward, there’s no point to forever without you. I wouldn’t want one day without you.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.276

If I had found you, there isn’t a doubt in my mind how I would have proceeded. I was that boy, who would have — as soon as I discovered that you were what I was looking for — gotten down on one knee and endeavored to secure your hand. I would have wanted you for eternity, even when the word didn’t have quite the same connotations.

Edward Cullen, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.277

As we walked in, Emmett ambled through the kitchen door, seeming perfectly at ease. Nothing ever bothered Emmett.

Bella Swan, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.283

She’s one of us now.

Jasper Hale, Eclipse, Chapter 12, p.285

Emmett sighed theatrically, and plopped down on the couch to wait with exaggerated impatience.

Dakota Fanning and 'Eclipse' featured in new 'Twilight' American Library Association poster...

From Twilight Examiner:

The American Library Association, ironically the same organization that listed the Twilight series on its "most challenged books" list for this year, has released a new Twilight "READ" poster - this time featuring Dakota Fanning ("Jane") and a portion of the logo artwork from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

The ALA has done "READ" posters with the Twilight series cast for the past couple of years, having issued one for Twilight with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as "Edward and Bella" and one for The Twilight Saga: New Moon with Taylor Lautner as "Jacob Black."

Additionally, Dakota Fanning appeared in an ALA "READ" poster a few years back for Charlotte's Web.

The new Eclipse poster can be purchased here.

The posters are intended to encourage readership among fans of the respective series encapsulated by them, and it seems that whether "challenged" or not, the ALA regards the Twilight series as a viable tool for their campaign.

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' Soundtrack: Who Will Make The Cut?

Adam Lambert, Muse, Paramore and more discuss whether or not they will have their tunes included in the next installment of Stephenie Meyer's franchise.

From MTV:

When it comes to the "Twilight Saga," the soundtracks are almost as anticipated as the films themselves. And with the "Eclipse" soundtrack set for release on June 8, many fans are wondering which artists made the cut.

Adam Lambert had hoped that his song "Suburban Decay" could find a home on the soundtrack. He told MTV News that it could be the perfect tune to further elaborate the love story between Bella and Jacob. "It's a great song and I hope to perform it someday, and I think it will find a home on a soundtrack or something ... maybe 'Twilight,' " he said. "It just didn't quite fit [in my album]. It's very theatrical. ... It's very campy, and it was just a bit too campy for the album as a big picture."

Like Lambert, Brooklyn, New York, band Care Bears on Fire would love to get their song on the soundtrack. "Oh my God! It would sound awesome," bandmate Izzy said. "[It would sound] vampire-y, duh — or werewolf-y, depending. I'd kind of like to be vampire. I feel like that's more our sound."

And while these artists are hoping they'll have their shot, Muse have already hinted that after appearances on the first twol films' soundtracks, they may take up space on the third installment as well. "It's great to have the feeling of being a new band again in so many people's eyes or minds ... we might even do something for the third one," drummer Dominic Howard said.

"['Eclipse' director David Slade is] kind of a friend of ours 'cause he directed about three or four of our videos for the second album, and he's a really great video director," Howard further explained. "I know he did that really great kind of sick horror [film '30 Days of Night'] which was a bit of a vampire/zombie vibe, wasn't it? So I think he's a great director, and he's quite a funny character as well. So, yeah, we might do something for him as well."

Paramore appeared on the first soundtrack and passed up the chance to be on the second, but they wouldn't rule out taking a stab at writing a song for "Eclipse." "We'll see what happens in the future," frontwoman Hayley Williams said. "I don't know — if it feels genuine. If we write a song, and I feel like it goes with it, I wouldn't turn it down, but I wouldn't force it."
